A new event hit Melbourne in 2008 called Supanova, who had previously run events interstate, their guest list included Teryl Rothery who is my second favourite actress from Stargate. I was thrilled to get the opportunity to meet her so there was no way I was missing this event, this was also the first event I had attended after having improved my Stargate costume with a more authentic looking jacket.

Other than Teryl the other guests I was rather excited about meeting were Jewel Staite and Michael Winslow, being a Police Academy fan it was such an amazing opportunity to meet him, he is incredible and to hear him do some of his amazing sound effects in person was an honour. Jewel was also really lovely to meet and I got photos with both her and Teryl, in fact I got two photos with Teryl one in my SG-1 costume and the other in a set of scrubs, she played a Doctor after all so it fit. I was only at this event the one day and had to take off early but I’m so glad that I got the opportunity to attend, it was great to see other event in Melbourne for us fans to enjoy.
