The Christian O’Connell Show Live on Stage, an event celebrating their 1000th show. A huge achievement, I’m only a new fan but they’ve helped pull me out of a dark place and I have so much respect for them for that. They are also brilliantly entertaining and this was a great event.
Recently my family had to farewell a loved one, my Mum’s older brother Len passed away. Grieving is different for everyone, but always hard. It has also happened too often in the last few years. I’m having to learn a whole new way of grieving. Glad to have my comfort kitty by my side in this time of loss.
Last Saturday I decided to go out and meet Christian O’Connell, who is a radio presenter on The Christian O’Connell Show which I listen to often in the truck. Meeting Christian was an great experience and the significance of this was a breakthrough in my recovery.
Sometimes life can be difficult, and sometimes we have a mental breakdown. Things have been incredibly hard for me lately and I want to share my journey with you. It has taken a long time, but I have now finally been able to sit down and write this post. This is a sign that I am getting better and improving in my recovery.
This year has been a crazy, like a roller coaster of change. Life got in the way and I stopped doing a lot of things that brought me joy and calmness. I started a new job, brought and moved into my very own house, I dealt with loss and grief. I’m still struggling through some of these changes.
My life has just been one big overwhelming mess for the last six months and it’s been hard to think and function. I started my new job, I have lost a couple of family members, had medical issues. Have also had to change living arrangement and been living out of boxes for the last six months.
I started a new job three weeks ago, I am apart of the inaugural Women’s Driver Academy at Cleanaway. I’m getting trained to drive trucks so I can go for my truck licence, then I will be trained as a side-lift garbage truck driver. This job gives me the opportunity to try something new, to learn new things and challenge myself.
Little bit late but it’s still only single digit days in January so not too late… I hope everyone had a great Christmas and/or holiday period. Spending time with friends and family. I hope you brought the new year in with the people that mean the most to you. Let’s hope that 2022 is a better year for all of us.
At the beginning of this week on Monday I celebrated my First Stream Anniversary. It was the 22 November 2020 when I broadcast my first stream and it’s crazy realising that it’s now been over a year. Thank you to all those who have joined me on this journey and joined me in celebrating my stream-a-versary.
I still struggle to find the words to explain how much I love and miss my beautiful Nan. For the first time in my life I have lived a whole year without her, but has that really been lived? Feels more like surviving than living. Because of COVID and everything the world was/is facing our times together where cut short.
This year will be another lockdown birthday for me, so I want to make it a bit more enjoyable by doing a fun birthday stream. I will be completing my first ever 12 hour stream and it is going to be amazing. There will be VR and pancake gaming and a lot of fun chaos with friends. Please join me.
I attended my first event in two years and it felt amazing. I have been in a bit of a slump lately, feeling quite flat and attending this event and seeing my amazing con family. It gave me the boost I so desperately needed. I feel so rejuvenated and reminded of how much love, fun, friendship and memories I have with these people.
Smidget Bot is here! I’ve been keeping myself busy lately and have started streaming on Twitch. I play games but also do art streams where I draw or paint, I’ve found my creativeness again. I’ve even reimagined an old drawing to create Smidget Bot.
What a year 2020 has been, I know that many people have struggled through the changes the world as a whole has gone through. This year will definitely be one that I will never forget and I’m sure a lot of people can say the same thing. I’m happy to be putting this year behind me, here’s to 2021.
Merry Christmas to every single one of you amazing people. Thank you for your friendship and continued support over the last year. It means everything to me and helps me to keep going every single day.
I have posted a new Vlog, please check it out. I have also started to live stream on Twitch, where I am my goofy self whilst trying to figure out how to play different video games. Enjoying the journey, the process and the amazing community I have become a part of.
